Inhaling the earth, the essence of the season lingers,
Heavy, swollen, clinging between pale limbs

Fingers press, parting fragile velvet skin
exposing a fragrant pinkness that grows
crimson at her core

Summer-sweet juice drips from my chin, glazing a sticky tell tale trail, revealing a luscious gluttony, wilfully announcing secrets

Sweet, ripe little fig, it's small wonder that extravagant foliage toils to conceal such rebellious rain-swelled flesh
